Wedding at Sacred Heart and The Fairhope Inn | Paige & Henry

Filed in Weddings — March 10, 2026

Paige and Henry’s wedding at Sacred Heart and The Fairhope Inn was my first wedding of Spring 2026. Their wedding day began in downtown Fairhope and ended with a joyful Fairhope Inn wedding reception after a beautiful wedding mass at Sacred Heart. Friends and family traveled from many different states to celebrate with them in Fairhope, Alabama. The entire day was filled with emotional moments, joyful celebration, and meaningful traditions.

Getting Ready in Fairhope, AL

The morning began at one of Fairhope’s charming pink houses where Paige and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready. After hair and makeup in matching pjs, the girls changed into their dresses for some beautiful portraits together.

One of the most emotional moments of the morning was Paige’s first look with her dad and brothers. As soon as they saw her in her wedding dress, one of her brothers immediately started crying, which lead to happy tears all around. It was such a sweet and genuine reaction.

I photographed bridesmaid portraits and family photos at the house before everyone left for the ceremony.

Henry and his groomsmen were getting ready at another pink house in downtown Fairhope. After getting dressed, my second photographer took portraits of the guys along the bluff overlooking Mobile Bay. The waterfront views along the bluff are one of the reasons Fairhope is such a beautiful place for weddings.

A classic white trolley from Gulf Coast Tours transported the wedding party to the ceremony.

Sacred Heart Wedding Mass

Paige and Henry were married during a beautiful Catholic wedding mass at Sacred Heart Chapel in Fairhope, Alabama. The chapel sits along Mobile Bay and is one of the most loved ceremony locations on the Eastern Shore.

Father Steve officiated the ceremony, and the chapel was filled with family and friends who had traveled to Fairhope to celebrate the couple.

After the ceremony, Paige and Henry took a quiet moment together to read the heartfelt letters they had written to each other. These private moments right after a ceremony are always some of the most meaningful parts of a wedding day.

We took portraits in front of the church doors, which were beautifully decorated with blue and white hydrangeas and greenery. We also stepped toward the water for a few bride and groom portraits overlooking Mobile Bay.

Before leaving the chapel, Paige and Henry celebrated with their wedding party by popping a bottle of champagne outside the church. Then everyone climbed back onto the trolley to head to the reception.

Fairhope Inn Wedding Reception

The celebration continued at The Fairhope Inn, one of the most charming reception venues in Fairhope, Alabama.

Guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and food stations, along with multiple bars and a signature cocktail after dinner. The bridesmaids wore sage green dresses and the groomsmen wore navy suits, creating a timeless color palette that fit beautifully with the garden setting of The Fairhope Inn.

The details at the reception were wonderful. The cake from The Sugar Emporium was both beautiful and delicious, and guests loved watching the live wedding painting by Melissa Munger Art come to life during the evening.

The band Six Piece Suits kept the dance floor full all night – good music and so funny too!

Emotional Toasts and Special Moments

After Paige and Henry made their reception entrance, Paige’s father gave a heartfelt speech thanking the many guests who had traveled from across the country to celebrate with them in Fairhope.

The couple shared their first dance before Paige danced with her father and Henry danced with his mother.

One of the sweetest moments of the evening happened during the bouquet toss. Instead of tossing the bouquet, Paige turned around and grabbed the microphone. She thanked her mom for all the love and work that went into planning her dream wedding day and then handed the bouquet to her.

There were definitely a few more happy tears in the room.

A Second Dress and a Vintage Getaway

Later in the evening, Paige changed into an elegant second dress before the celebration wrapped up with a bubble exit outside The Fairhope Inn.

Paige and Henry made their getaway in a vintage red Cadillac convertible, the perfect ending to their joyful Fairhope wedding day.

From their Sacred Heart Chapel ceremony overlooking Mobile Bay to their Fairhope Inn wedding reception, every part of Paige and Henry’s day was filled with love, laughter, and beautiful moments shared with family and friends.

Paige and Henry, it was such an honor to photograph your wedding in Fairhope. Congratulations to you both!
