In Mobile, Alabama on a sunny May afternoon, Katie and Andrew sealed their love in a ceremony that will forever be etched in their hearts with a St. Mary’s Catholic Church Wedding. The gorgeous church, familiar to many Mobile Catholics, provided the perfect setting for their timeless union. From getting ready, first looks and grand reveals, to walking the aisle and sharing a kiss as they drove off to their happily ever after, this wedding is one for the books!

Portraits

As part of your Photography by Toni wedding experience I create a timeline of your wedding day complete with portrait lists to ensure that my team and I can capture all the special people at your wedding. Katie and I bonded instantly when we discovered that she loves a list! I photographed The Trattles’ engagement session so we already had a great chemistry for portraits. (Click the link to see their engagement photos!) Having a couple who trusts me to photograph images they love AND understands and encourages my in-depth timeline is the BEST! Before the ceremony I captured photographs their wedding party and immediate families. After the ceremony we got photos of the bride and groom of course but also their extended families! A photo of the couple with the priest who married them. At the reception, I took some pictures of their closest friends. I create a gallery of timeless and modern images, classic and fun (for this wedding a little steamy too!).

The Ceremony

Katie, breathtaking in her elegant wedding gown with stunning bow detail, glided down the aisle, her eyes sparkling with love and joy as Andrew awaited her at the altar. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple exchanged vows, promising to love and cherish each other for eternity. The mass was beautiful. A few happy tears and lots of laughs! One of my favorite images of the day was taken during the ceremony – I love when my couples do this – the dip! I could tell that Katie and Andrew practiced this one for their St. Mary’s Catholic Church wedding!

The Reception

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued at The Admiral Semmes Hotel, where the newlyweds and their guests were treated to an unforgettable evening. The couple and their guests danced the night away in the hotel’s ballroom, which served as the perfect backdrop for a night of celebration.

The chairs were adorned with blue bows, to match the bride’s gown, the tables decorated with floral arrangements that added a pop of color to the elegant surroundings. The wedding party entered the ball room and set the stage for the formal dances to follow. Guests enjoyed a plated meal, served in courses, alongside his and hers signature cocktails – an Old Fashioned for the Groom and Mimosa for the Bride. Peep Captain’s signature drink! haha.

As the night progressed, the dance floor came alive with music and laughter, as Katie and Andrew danced the night away with their friends and family. It was a celebration of love and new beginnings, a day that will forever be cherished by Katie, Andrew, and all who were present.

It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments, a day that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
