Randelyn and Franklin’s Southern Grove Vineyard wedding in Fairhope, Alabama was such a beautiful celebration surrounded by their closest friends and family. This was my first time photographing a wedding at Southern Grove Vineyard, and I loved getting to explore the property while documenting such a special day for these two.

From their outdoor ceremony beside the vines to portraits around the property at sunset and a gorgeous private reception, every part of the day felt warm, intimate, and completely their own.

An Outdoor Ceremony at Southern Grove Vineyard

Randelyn and Franklin exchanged vows outside beside the vineyard, with rows of vines creating a beautiful setting for their ceremony. A stained wood pergola framed the ceremony space and was draped in rich green velvet fabric with burgundy lilies that tied perfectly into the colors used throughout their reception.

Wine barrels lined the aisles alongside the guest chairs, adding another detail that felt perfectly suited for a vineyard wedding.

Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Randelyn and Franklin officially became husband and wife. Their ceremony was incredibly sweet while still having a few moments that had everyone laughing. It was the perfect reflection of a day filled with so much happiness.

Burgundy Wedding Details and a Cathedral Length Veil

I loved the rich colors Randelyn and Franklin chose for their Fairhope wedding. Franklin wore a burgundy suit that coordinated beautifully with the burgundy floral details throughout the day.

Randelyn wore a cathedral length veil trimmed in lace, which was absolutely beautiful for both the ceremony and portraits. The longer veil added such a classic, romantic element to her bridal look and photographed beautifully around the vineyard.

Wedding Portraits Around the Vineyard

After the ceremony, we used the remaining daylight to take portraits around the Southern Grove Vineyard property before the sun set.

One of my favorite parts about photographing a wedding at a new venue is finding all of the little areas that work beautifully for photographs. The vineyard setting gave us plenty of variety while allowing Randelyn and Franklin to spend a few quiet moments together as newlyweds before joining their guests at the reception.

A Beautiful Private Reception

The reception took place in a private area of Southern Grove Vineyard reserved for the couple and their guests. The space looked beautiful with the green and burgundy color palette carrying over from the ceremony.

Before dinner, the newlyweds shared their first dance surrounded by the people who had come to celebrate them. You could tell throughout the entire evening just how happy everyone was for Randelynn and Franklin.

It was such a privilege to photograph their wedding and my first wedding at Southern Grove Vineyard. Congratulations, Randelyn and Franklin!
