WELCOME, I'M TONI!
Regan’s Bridal Portraits at the Bragg Mitchell Mansion in Mobile, AL were the perfect way to celebrate such a meaningful season of her life. Now that she’s officially married, I can finally share these images from her bridal session! They are every bit as timeless and beautiful as you’d expect from this iconic Mobile venue.
Traditionally, many brides choose to take bridal portraits ahead of the wedding so they can display a framed print at their reception. And I will always love a classic, ornate, matted bridal portrait on display. It’s such a timeless Southern tradition.
But Regan did something a little different. She chose to do her bridal portraits purely for herself. No pressure, no expectations. Just a moment to slow down and soak in what it feels like to be a bride. I absolutely love that perspective. These sessions become less about a “must-have” and more about documenting a once-in-a-lifetime season.
Regan was absolutely stunning. She wore the Justin Alexander Ilia gown, a stretch crepe fit-and-flare dress with a pleated scoop neckline. It was the perfect balance of traditional bridal elegance and modern simplicity.
She paired her gown with a cathedral-length veil edged in lace, which complemented the dress beautifully. The way the veil moved and framed her throughout the session added such a romantic, elevated feel to bridal images.
One of the things I love most about bridal sessions at the Bragg Mitchell Mansion is how many beautiful backdrops are all within steps of each other.
We used so many parts of the venue and grounds that would later be part of her wedding day:
Each space gave us a slightly different feel while still staying cohesive and true to the setting.
Bridal sessions like this are such a gift. The wedding day moves quickly, but a bridal session allows you to be fully present. No timeline pressure. No guests waiting. Just you, your dress, and the excitement of what’s to come.
For Regan, this session was exactly that. A quiet, beautiful pause before the celebration. And now, these images will always take her back to that feeling.
If you’re planning your wedding in Mobile or along the Eastern Shore, bridal portraits are something I highly recommend. Whether you want a statement piece for your reception or simply a moment to document this season for yourself, it’s always worth it.
